Boug’s Meadow, in the heart of Great Missenden, sits astride the winterbourne section of the River Misbourne. It has been transformed from a neglected wasteland into a peaceful haven with glorious wildflowers. We will celebrate National Meadows Day with conservation displays, children’s activities and demonstrations of old woodland and meadow crafts.

An Open Day event open to all to suppport Cornwall Butterfly Conservation and Plantlife’s Meadow Day. There will be ample parking, a moth display, a scything display located in 40 acres of wildflower meadows, lakes and woodland.

To celebrate National Meadows Day, join a National Trust Ranger on a guided walk of the Langdale Valley, focussing on wildflower meadows and the wildlife within. Learn about the rich history of the valley and the landscape you see around you, and find out about the conservation work undertaken by the ranger teams in the wider area.
